Best-selling author, Mark Dawson, wanted to celebrate the first in a new series of novels with an animated Facebook ad designed to create a stir. Taking an altogether darker tone to previous novel series’ The House in the Woods uses the reflection in a crow’s eye of a light turning in an isolated house as a sinister hint to the events that take place there.
After an initial call with the author, we created a storyboard for Mark so he could see the concept and give his approval before we started the involved process of creating the animation.
The animation launched the book’s publicity campaign and created huge interest in this striking new series.
