 The Process

Our work ranges from creating a simple moving illustration to short storyboard narratives

Providing you have the rights/license to the artwork and for it to be animated, our animation technique can lend itself to being applied to other artwork/illustrations. If you have limited artwork, we are happy to create more in the same vein.

We make commissioning an animation a very relaxed process. We usually have a short online meeting with you so we can understand what you need, and make sure we are the right ones for your project. You will also ‘e-meet’ us so you know who you are dealing with as we will be the ones creating your work. We can then estimate costs and requirements, and send that on to you for you to consider. We then go forward from there.

We have an enquiry form here with a few questions to get to process started.

We need the original layered file for the artwork (for example the Photoshop file or a layered PDF) and if you have any specific ideas/goals in mind for your animation.

Pricing Examples

For your guidance, we have used three pricing bands, Silver, Gold & Platinum with examples of the complexity of work within each of those bands. Please don’t hesitate to contact us for a bespoke quote for your work.

Use the arrows at the end of each row for more examples

Pricing Band - Silver: Often short videos, with a simple concept that don’t require complex elements or animation

Pricing Band - Gold: More involved narratives and animation with multiple techniques

Pricing Band - Platinum: Often longer video with multiple complex elements and requires a storyboard.

  • There are a number of very good reasons why…

    - We undertake a broad range of work, that’s part of our strength. Jobs vary broadly in the methods and requirements, so trying to create a rate card for all these eventualities would be prohibitive.

    - We aren’t just animators, we are creative directors with years of industry experience and expertise. That experience means we are well-placed to suggest creative ways of meeting a budget. To place the decision on what elements of a rate card would go towards making up a successful animated video on the client would be wrong.

    - Sometimes the best way of getting more for a particular budget is to change the methods rather than cut the length of the video or reduce the amount of elements. Especially if these methods work well with the style and message needed for the video. That’s where we can advise for the best results and fulfil the essence of the brief.
