It was wonderful to work with the author of this Mallorca-set detective novel, Anna Nicholas, keeping her up-to-date with our progress and making sure we achieved the feel she wanted.
Here we animated the artwork taken from the cover and added artwork ourselves (in the form of Sunflower seeds and a bloodied knife) in the style of the illustrator to hint at elements of the story.
A ferret (a pet of the protagonist) was animated both outside the book and on its cover into the final position of the artwork.
We created two text overlays for the end; one for pre release and one ‘out now’ version.
